Doncaster, currently bottom of the fourth division, pulled off the cup shock of the round by leading
2-0 at Anfield last Saturday and ending the game 2-2. A well deserved draw which brought them today's replay at Belle Vue. It was only a late goal from Kevin Keegan, Doncaster born, that saved Liverpool from defeat.

Sadly there was no fairy tale ending to this game played in the afternoon due to the current floodlight ban. Liverpool were certainly not at their best but goals from Steve Heighway and Peter Cormack were enough to get them through to round four. Full marks to Doncaster for a brave display which hopefully will get them away from the foot of the table. Not a bad crowd either for a Tuesday afternoon.
